Academy volunteer scouts required
We are looking for volunteer Plymouth Argyle Academy Scouts.
This work is designed to help us identify talent into the Academy and support our player development pathway.
Your main duties will include;
- Attend Academy training/fixtures periodically (minimum 4 times per season)
- Attending fixtures assigned and agreed with you by the Head of Academy Recruitment
- Meet KPIs/targets set to you for Talent ID within specific age groups or areas
- Complete Talent ID Player Information Forms and submit to the Head of Academy Recruitment
- Positively represent Plymouth Argyle Football Club at all times
- Build a positive and professional rapport with those you come into contact with
- Follow and understand the Plymouth Argyle ‘Talent ID Process’
- Keep up to date with essential qualifications for the role, e.g. First Aid, Safeguarding Children, DBS etc
- Attend all assigned fixtures punctually and maintain good time keeping
- Attend meetings and events when organised and given sufficient notice
You will be required to be highly motivated, flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment. You will need to be cheerful, professional and have excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to help attitude.
You will need to be an excellent team player and demonstrate honesty, integrity and reliability. You will inform us if there is any potential conflict of interest regarding your volunteering with any other connection with the club. You will endeavour to keep open minded and abreast with up-to-date Talent ID practice, under direction and support from the Head of Academy Recruitment.
Successful applicants will be enrolled onto the FA Talent ID Level 2 qualification starting on 20th August 2023 along with being provided with a number of other perks to being a scout.
