Argyle 2
Halls 43, Roberts 85
Argyle completed a Youth Alliance League double over Forest Green Rovers by beating them by the same score as when the sides met earlier in the season.
On that day in September, at Langsford Park, Caleb Roberts gave Argyle the lead, and once again got on the scoresheet, this time scoring Argyle's second after Oscar Halls had fired them ahead.
After an even start to the game Argyle got stronger as the half wore on. Cole Gibbings released Jack Endacott down the flank, and his cross found Joe Hatch, who fired just over the crossbar.
The breakthrough came on 43 minutes as skipper Halls hit an impressive volley from the edge of the area, that flew into the top corner of the home goal.
Although Argyle worked hard in the second half to maintain the upper hand, chances were rare, although Roberts did go close with his 69th minute effort.
Roberts had better luck, five minutes from time, as his superb 25-yarder flew into the corner of the Rovers net to complete a well-deserved victory for Darren Way's charges.
