Argyle Under-18s put on a five-star display at Harper’s Park to earn a superb victory against local rivals Exeter City.
Caleb Roberts began and ended the goalscoring, with strikes from Jack Endacott, Kieran Edworthy and Finley Wilkes seeing Argyle to a comfortable victory.
Argyle were by far the stronger side in the opening quarter as they twice went close to taking the lead. The only surprise was that it took the until the 21st minute to break through as Freddie Issaka's shot deflected to Caleb Roberts, who instantly dispatched the ball into the back of the Grecians net.
A second goal followed, seven minutes later, as a right wing cross found Jack Endacott finishing in style.
Argyle kept going forward and the result was practically in the bag a minute before the break as Kieran Edworthy made it 3-0.
Darren Way's side continued to press after the break and were rewarded with two goals inside a minute to leave the visitors a well beaten side.
On 63 minutes, Finley Wilkes’ great strike from edge of the box gave Argyle a fourth goal that was quickly followed by a great finish from Roberts for his second of the game.
This comfortable victory maintained Argyle's unbeaten start in the Youth Alliance League having won five and drawn once in their six games to date.
