Academy Preview | Newport County (H)
Argyle Under-18s take on Newport County on Thursday (1pm) at Millennium Fields in the Greens' final game of the Youth Alliance League for this season.
Darren Way's side are unable to win the divisional title, as Bournemouth's victory over Swindon Town on Tuesday clinched the championship for the Cherries. However, Argyle will still want to finish with a flourish over County, a side the Pilgrims beat 6-0 away from home earlier in the season.
This game is a rearranged fixture from earlier in the campaign, when the scheduled match was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
Argyle have already qualified for the Merit League, a further competition that brings in Under-18 teams from other areas. Last season, Argyle lost out to Bournemouth in the final stages of the Youth Alliance League, then went on to seal the Merit League title. Could history repeat itself?
