Argyle Youth 1 Yeovil Town 2
ARGYLE created enough chances to have won this game comfortably but a combination of the woodwork and visiting goalkeeper Kacper Kowalctyk saw the Glovers take the points.
Rubin Wilson, twice, and Isaac Burdon had gone close before Yeovil took a 25th minute lead with their first effort on goal. Alfie Lloyd made room on the edge of the area before slipping in Daniel Neild to fire past the exposed Harry Townsend.
Argyle continued to push forward and Burdon saw his far-post header hacked off the line before Townsend made a good save from Archie Sturdy.
Yeovil were handed a great chance to double their advantage when Ali Mansaray was harshly adjudged to have fouled Neild but justice appeared to be done when Townsend made a great one-handed save from the penalty.
Yeovil did manage to double their lead as Neild's precise free-kick found Ben Hughes thundering his header into the roof of the Argyle net six minutes before the interval.
The second half was a procession of Pilgrim attacks, although Yeovil still looked dangerous on the break. Rhys Shirley saw his superb volley crash back off the post before his low drive brought a good save out of Kowalctyk.
Burdon and Jeremiah Medine both went close before Wilson's towering header crashed back off the bar. A fine reaction save saw the visiting 'keeper somehow keep out Burdon's close range effort and Wilson twice fired wide of the goal.
The game was in the seventh minute of stoppage time when Argyle finally found the back of the net with substitute Oscar Halls bundling home a corner.
