Grand Occasion for Argyle Ladies
ARGYLE assistant manager Steven Schumacher has added his support to the Pilgrim ladies, as they prepare for a historic occasion at Home Park.
Enjoying a brilliant run of form in league and cup, the ladies welcome Watford to the Theatre of Greens on Sunday for a 2pm kick-off in the FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division and the first-ever game for the Green Army to sample the brand new Grandstand.
It will then be over the male first-team, when they entertain Morecambe on December 14 in the next stage of the Grandstand unveiling.
“They [Argyle Ladies] are doing fantastic,” said Schuey. “I haven’t had the chance to watch them yet but I’ve been keeping up to date with their results, and how they’re performing.
“It should be a great occasion for them, especially playing against Watford, who are also doing well. It will be a good day and the first day for the fans in the new Grandstand.
“It’s been a long time coming and it was great to get the boards down for the last home game, sit in the dug-outs and our next game against Morecambe will see fans in there behind us, which is great.
“We’re looking forward to getting in there, using the offices and the lounges. Everything is evolving at the club and long may that continue.”
