Picture This
IN the Home Park office, we have a box.
It has various names. Sometimes we call it the Box of Whatever. Occasionally we refer to it as the Box of Doom. At times, we call it the Box of Stuff. Typically, though, it is just: The Box.
The Box is a repository for anything Argyle that we come across, that we have spare, that may or may not be useful. Shirts, shorts, pennants, books, programmes, trinkets, team-sheets, posters – all sorts.
Typically, we have given the Box away during the Bumper Summer Quiz on the website, but over the last couple of years the Box has grown, while the online quiz has not featured. Now, though, it is time to give the Box away.
Inside the Argyle v Exeter programme on Tuesday night, for the Checkatrade Trophy game, you will find a 50 question Argyle picture quiz. We would like you to answer all the questions in that programme, and send your answers to argyle@pafc.co.uk with the subject heading ‘The Big Annual Argyle Prize Quiz*’.
Alternatively, fill in the form in the programme, and send the form to: The Big Annual Argyle Prize Quiz*, Communications Department, Plymouth Argyle Football Club, Home Park, Plymouth PL2 3DQ.
The top scoring entrant will win the Box, and its entire contents, listed below. If you do not want to damage your copy of the Pilgrim (and, let’s face it, who would?) answers on photocopies or similar, or accompanied by an image of the page, will be acceptable.
We will be closing the quiz at 5pm on Friday, October 27, so you will only be wasting your own time if you get it in later than that.
The person who has the most correct answers will win the Box of Stuff. In the event of a tie, the person who is closest to the tie-break question, featured in the programme, will be deemed the lucky winner.
If you are unable to buy a programme during Tuesday night’s game, you can obtain one by sending us £2 and a stamped address envelope, by calling into reception at Home Park and purchasing one, or by request from one of our programme sellers at Saturday’s game against Fleetwood.
If you are the winner, you will need to come and collect the Box from Home Park, at your convenience. If you are lucky, we will get the gaffer or a player to present you with the prize.
Good luck!
