Where There's A Will
ARGYLE have signed England Under-20 goalkeeper Will Mannion on an emergency loan.
Mannion is the latest 'keeper to join the Pilgrims after an injury sustained against Portsmouth on Saturday ruled Remi Matthews out of Tuesday's Checkatrade Trophy fixture against Yeovil Town.
Should Mannion, as expected start, the game at Huish Park, he will be the sixth goalkeeper used by the Pilgrims already this season. Luke McCormick, Robbert te Loeke, Kyle Letheren and Matthews have all started games and are all injured, while second-year apprentice Michael Cooper, himself recovering from a dislocated finger, also played 45 minutes.
Mannion started his career at AFC Wimbledon, but signed for Hull City in July 2016, with a tribunal setting a fee that could rise to £425,000.
Will made his Hull debut when he played in their Carabao Cup first round game at Doncaster Rovers. He has played for England Under-19s, and has been in the latest England Under-20 squad.
He will wear the number 35 shirt at Argyle. Welcome, Will.
