Just as he did before the last promotion-winning campaign, Derek is again taking his players to Delden, in East Holland, in late July ahead of the 2017-18 season.

 

Last year, the players were accompanied by a group of Pilgrims who were given exclusive access to Derek and the team’s training-camp and took part in several special events alongside the squad. Players and fans alike deemed the experience a huge success. 

 

So, we are again offering the opportunity to be part of the ultimate Argyle away-day adventure – which, this year, will be bigger and better than ever for a select band of the Green Army. There, are, though, very few spaces remaining, and time is running out if you want to join us.   

 

This time, the stay will be longer – from Sunday, July 23-Saturday, July 29 – and we will be playing two competitive friendly matches, rather than one, with FC Emmen and an FC Twente side providing the opposition.

 

Over the seven days that we are in Holland, there are a number of activities and opportunities that will help provide a never-to-be-forgotten week, including:

 

• exclusive access to a closed training session;

• lunch and dinner with the lads on separate days;

• a social evening (the gaffer is still certain that last year’s quiz night was fixed!); and 

• access – with transport and dinner provided – to our two matches.

 

An exclusive ‘Delden 2017’ polo shirt will provide you with a memento of your trip.

 

The VIP experience actually starts two days before we fly out from Bristol Airport – on Friday, July 21, with a full Boardroom and Directors’ Box experience for our only home pre-season friendly, against Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City.

 

Then, on Sunday, July 23, we will meet up at Home Park to enjoy breakfast in the Players’ Lounge before journeying from Plymouth to Delden, where we will once again stay at the excellent Hotel Wapen van Delden. Accommodation there includes breakfast.

 

The cost of the package is £1,250 per person*. A non-refundable deposit of £150 per person is required upon booking, with the full balance to be paid by midday on Friday, June 2, 2017.

 

Spaces are strictly limited, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis – reservations will not be confirmed until deposits are received.
