Up for the Cup
ARGYLE'S SuperCupNI campaign kicks off on Monday afternoon with their opening match against Co. Tyrone at Scroggy Road, Limvady (3.30pm).
Here are the young Pilgrims who will be representing the club this week.
1 Shaun HILLIER
A 14-year-old goalkeeper who has represented Plymouth Schoolboys Under-14s this season. He signed for Argyle’s Academy at Under-13s after being scouted playing for Marine Academy Plymouth. Shaun currently attends St Boniface’s Catholic College in Plymouth. First time at the SuperCupNI.
2 Finley CRASKE
A 14-year-old defender. Finley attends Ivybridge Community College and joined the Academy programme as a ten-year-old after progressing from the Bodmin Advanced Development Centre. He represented Plymouth Schoolboys Under-14s this season. First time at the SuperCupNI.
3 Reuben COLLUM
From Barnstaple, the 15-year-old defender returns to the SuperCupNI after being part of last season's squad. Reuben has played for the Under-18s and Under-16s on several occasions last season. Attends the Park Community School.
4 Jacob EVANS
A 15-year-old midfielder who attends Trinity School in Teignmouth. Jacob (‘JJ’ to his teammates) participated in last year’s tournament. He also represented the Torbay Schoolboys Under-15s this year.
5 Dominic HARNELL
First time at the SuperCupNI. A defender who joined the Academy 12 months ago after being recommended by Arsenal Soccer Schools. This 14-year-old attends Okehampton College.
6 Oliver TOMLINSON
Second time at the SuperCupNI. A 15-year-old defender who attends Ivybridge Community and represented Plymouth Schools Under-15s this season. Ollie has played for the Under-18s and Under-16s on several occasions last season and is captain for this year’s tournament.
7 Jude BOYD
A 15-year-old midfielder. First time at the SuperCupNI after being on last year’s standby list. Represented West Crownall Under-15 Schoolboys this year. Attends Redruth School.
8 Joe SEERY
A 15-year-old midfielder who attends Ivybridge Community College. Joe is another who travelled to Northern Ireland last season and who represented the Plymouth Schoolboys Under-15s this year.
9 Dominic OSBORNE
Also travelled to Northern Ireland last year, the 15-year-old striker from Newton Abbot attends Torquay Grammar School. Represented Torbay Schoolboys Under-15s this year.
10 Kieran ROWE
A 15-year-old midfielder from Wadebridge who is participating in the SuperCupNI tournament for the third time. Kieran played for Plymouth Under-15 schoolboys this year. He also attends Ivybridge Community College.
11 Jamie SIMMONDS
A 15-year-old midfielder. First time at the SuperCupNI after being on last year’s standby list. Represented Plymouth Under-15 schoolboys this year. Jamie attends Devonport High School for boys.
12 Alfie WOTTON
A 14-year-old defender. Represented Plymouth Under-14 Schoolboys this year. Son of first-team coach Paul Wotton and a student at Plymstock School. First time at the SuperCupNI.
13 Lewis MOYLE
A 13-year-old goalkeeper who attends Richard Lander School in Truro. First time at the SuperCupNI. Represented the West Cornwall Schoolboys Under-13s this year.
14 Jimmy MILLER
A 14-year-old attacking midfielder, who represented the East Cornwall Schoolboys Under-14s this year. Jimmy attends Saltash.net Community School.
15 Sam WICKINS
A 14-year-old striker who hails from Wadebridge, in Cornwall, and attends Wadebridge Community College. First time at the SuperCupNI.
16 Owen RAVEN
A 14-year-old midfielder who attends Ivybridge Community College. Owen joined the Academy programme as a nine-year-old after attending Plymouth’s Advanced Development Centre. He represented Plymouth Schoolboys Under-14s this season. First time at the Milk Cup.
17 Oscar MASSEY
A 13-year-old striker from Truro attends Penair Secondary School. Oscar attended the Cornwall Centre of Excellence in St Stephen before progressing to the Academy at the start of the Under-12s. Represented the West Cornwall Schoolboys Under-13s and under 14s this year.
18 Brandon PURSALL
The youngest member of this season’s squad aged just 13. This Defender attends Brannel School in St Stephen. First time at SuperCupNI.
