Oakham Festival

The Festival was over three days and the first time that many of the boys had stayed away from home. Teams participating in the Festival included Manchester United, Leicester City, Millwall, AFC Wimbledon, Colchester United and Southend United.

 

The experience the players enjoyed, both on and off the pitch, was very different to the normal fixture programme.

 

We were playing against different teams from around the country and having time to socialise with their team mates outside of football back at the dorms. The overall opportunity will have benefited the Boys’ football development, as well as their social development.

 

Both age groups represented the Club in a professional manner, on and off the pitch, and put in some strong performances.
