Pedal 4 Pounds

AFTER the fabulous success of our charity ride from Wembley to Plymouth in April...

...the Argyle Community Trust is now taking on the South West Challenge of visiting nine professional clubs in four days.

This epic journey will take us from Swansea City to Cardiff City, Newport County, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Yeovil Town, Exeter City, Torquay United and, finally, a triumphant return to Home Park, here in Plymouth.

We are raising money for the Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer, as well as supporting the Argyle Community Trust and the Green Taverners’ good causes.

The media launch for this season’s Pedal 4 Pounds takes place on Thursday at Home Park, when we will be joined by members of the Argyle Community Trust; Plymouth Argyle Academy; Gary McGuire, from the Green Taverners; and representatives from the Chestnut Appeal.

The list of riders is already growing and we are delighted to have entrants from BBC Radio Devon, the Plymouth Herald, Pasoti, LTC Access Group, and Burt’s Chips joining fans who have already signed up to join the Pedal 4 Pounds extravaganza for 2016.

This superb event has become a real badge of honour in our community, as we combine a healthy lifestyle with raising money for good causes, and we want more people involved this year than ever before.

The entry fee is £150 per rider and we ask everyone involved to raise at least £300. The entry fee covers the cost of Travelodge accommodation in family/twin/double rooms, plus a brand new cycle shirt.

For those of you who raise more than £1,000, we will return your entrance fee, and the rider to earn the most sponsorship will be treated to a VIP day for two at a Plymouth Argyle first-team game at Home Park.

The event will take place in 2016 from Wednesday, April 20 - Saturday, April 23.

Drop us an email on community@pafc.co.uk for your entry form or find out more by calling 01752 562561, extension 162.
