First Things First
29th June 2015
LOOK out, Wimbledon - big Jake Jervis is on a roll.
Argyle visit the Dons on the opening day of the new Sky Bet League 2 season with the Pilgrims' much-travelled new striker looking to add to a phenomenal goalscoring streak.
Jake, 23, has netted on his debut for no fewer than seven previous clubs - including his last three.
The Wolverhampton-born six-footer began his amazing run on his Football League debut in 2010, when he was on target for Hereford United in a 2-0 League 2 win.
In 2012, he scored in his first appearance in a loan spell at three different League 1 clubs - Preston North End, Carlisle United and Tranmere Rovers.
He subsequently topped that feat by registering a goal in his first starting appearance for his three sides prior to coming to Home Park - in three different countries.
In January 2013, he notched for Turkish Super Lig side Elazigspor in a 2-2 away draw with Fenerbahce; a year later, he hit the target twice for Portsmouth in another 2-2 draw, at Morecambe; and last season, he was on the mark for Argyle manager Derek Adams in Scottish Premiership Ross County's 2-1 defeat by St Johnstone.
