Callington 2 Argyle u18 4

FIRST-YEAR professionals Louis Rooney and Callum Hall were on target in the Pilgrims' Under-18s' 4-2 victory at Callington.

The pair also featured in the first team's opening pre-season friendly at Elburton - won by the same margin - 24 hours previously.  

Louis netted twice, including from a clever back header from 12 yards, and Callum rounded off the scoring with a long-range shot.

First-year apprentice Alex Battle claimed the Young Pilgrims' other goal with a neat finish after some good play from Ben Steer.
