ARGYLE have signed Bolton Wanderers defender Oscar Threlkeld on loan.
The 20-year-old comes to Home Park from the Championship club until January 2.
Bolton-born Oscar is a product of the Trotters' Academy who has made eight appearances for his hometown club.
He was handed his first-team debut as a starter in a 3-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday at the end of Bolton's 2013-14 campaign and also played in the Trotters' dramatic 2-2 home draw against Birmingham City, when the visitors maintained their Championship status with an equaliser in the third minute of injury time.
Last season, the right-sided player, who has regularly captained Bolton's Under-21 side, played a further six times for the Trotters in the Championship and Capital One Cup.
Oscar is following in the studmarks of fellow young Trotters defender Andy Kellett, who enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Home Park last season.
Andy played 15 times for the Pilgrims, scoring the Argyle Goal of the Season at Northampton Town and picking up the fans' Most Promising Player of the Season award. His performances in the Green also played a part in earning him a subsequent loan move to Manchester United.
Oscar will wear the number 26 shirt during his stay at Home Park.
Welcome to Argyle, Oscar.
