Hard Knocks
22nd September 2014
ARGYLE will know within the next 48 hours the severity of injuries to leading scorer Reuben Reid and vice-captain Peter Hartley.
The experienced pair were both subbed off during the Pilgrims’ 2-0 home Sky Bet League 2 victory over Hartlepool United and have been assessed by Argyle head physiotherapist Paul Atkinson as John Sheridan’s men prepare for next weekend’s visit to resurgent Accrington Stanley.“Reuben received a knock in the area between his hip and ribcage, and has a bruise on the bone,” said Paul. “We are now waiting to see how quickly the injury settles down. Until we know that, it’s too early to say any more at the moment.
“Peter felt a pull in his thigh and is being treated for that. Again, it’s too early to say, at this stage, how it will settle.
“The treatment is rest, ice and compression.
“We will know a lot more in 48 hours’ time about their potential availability for next Saturday.”
