Graham In The Middle
21st October 2014
GRAHAM Horwood will be the man in the middle of Argyle’s Sky Bet League 2 fixture on Tuesday, where the Pilgrims travel to AFC Wimbledon.
The Bedfordshire-born referee has officiated in six matches this season across a number formats issuing 21 yellow cards in the process and sending one player off - Mathieu Bawdry of Leyton Orient, who scored a goal and a decisive penalty in our Capital One Cup tie earlier this season. The red card came in Graham's last match in charge; a 0-0 draw between Orient and Milton Keynes Dons which also saw six yellow cards.
Horwood’s refereeing career spans seven years. During that time, he has taken charge of Argyle on four occasions. Home defeats against Sheffield United and Tranmere Rovers, in 2008 and 2011 respectively, were interspersed by a win at Cheltenham in the Johnstone's Paint trophy.
Last year, Horwood was the official when Argyle beat Morcambe 5-0 at Home Park. He cautioned no Argyle players on that occasion.
