Massive Move
26th June 2013
LEWIS Alessandra, a summer addition to the Argyle squad, believes he is moving to a “massive club”.
Lewi, 24, who has moved to Home Park from Morecambe, said: “When Plymouth said they were interested, I was immediately interested – it’s no secret that they’re one of the bigger clubs in the league.“This club is a massive club.”
Lewi has worked with Pilgrims’ manager John Sheridan before, with Shez giving him his debut as a teenager with Oldham Athletic six years ago.
“I’ve always thought highly of him,” said Lewi.
“It wasn’t a big decision in my mind. My partner said she was fine with it and, once she said that, my mind was made up.”
Lewi can play anywhere up front but considers himself best when leading the line.
He said: “I could play anywhere from 7-11 and fit in that mould, but my main position is a striker or forward player.
“I’ll be the first to say I haven’t scored enough goals recently. Hopefully this is the season where I can get my head down and start hitting in the back of the net more.”
