Chadwick Suspended
9th January 2013
NICK Chadwick has been handed a six-match ban by the Football Association following his sending-off at Port Vale on Saturday.
As well as imposing an automatic three-match ban for his red card in the 34th minute of the game, the FA have taken retrospective action, under Law 12, regarding an incident in the first minute of the match and added a further three matches to the suspension.Nick regrets his actions which have led to this ban and apologises unreservedly for them. He fully accepts the punishment handed down by the FA.
Pre-mediated violent behaviour on the field is totally unacceptable at Plymouth Argyle and, accordingly, Nick has also been separately disciplined by the club.
The suspension means that Nick will be unavailable for Argyle's next four home League 2 matches, starting with Saturday's visit of Morecambe to Home Park, and including: Accrington Stanley, on January 26; Dagenham & Redbridge, on February 2; and Oxford United on February 16.
He will also miss the trips to Southend, on January 19, and Aldershot, on February 9.
