AN Andres Gurrieri hat-trick helped fire Argyle into the semi-finals of the St Luke's Devon Cup as they demolished Witheridge 7-2 at Edge Down Park.

The Argentinian winger netted three of the Pilgrims seven goals, with Luke Young, Jamie Richards and Isaac Vassell (2) providing the rest of the fire power.

Argyle coach Kevin Nancekivell was delighted with the performance of the team who faced an impressive South West Peninsula League outfit.

Kevin said: "It was a good result and a decent performance on what proved to be a difficult surface.

"I thought the players' application and attitude was spot on and I was pleased to win so comprehensively."

Argyle will now face either Exeter City or Tiverton Town at home in the semi-finals.
