Hourihane Is Young Player Of The Season
20th April 2013
CONOR Hourihane is your Young Player of the Season.
The combative midfielder has had a season to remember in only his second full campaign as a professional, missing just four games all season. The heartbeat of the Pilgrims' midfield, Conor has earned his stripes as a leader, taking the captain's armband from Darren Purse after his departure to Port Vale.
And he has certainly led with aplomb, skippering the side to seven victories with some fine performances, leaving them on the cusp of Football League survival.
He has weighed in with his fair share of goals, too, netting five times, often in spectacular style.
His screamer against Bristol Rovers back in September paved the way for further strikes against Cheltenham, Rovers again, Morecambe and Barnet, with the Pilgrims claiming points of four of those occasions.
Conor succeeds last year’s winner Luke Young as Argyle’s Young Player of the Season.
Congratulations to Conor on his award from all at Home Park.
