1974/75 Anniversary Event at Home Park
The promotion-winning squad of 1974/75 are to be celebrated in a very special evening at The Sports Bar.
Known as the Dream Season, Tony Waiters’ Pilgrims came second in Division Three (the equivalent to League One), finishing just a point behind champions Blackburn Rovers. The Greens were the highest goalscorers in the division, with the legendary combo of Paul Mariner and Billy Rafferty netting 47 goals between them.
For the 50th anniversary of that remarkable campaign, numerous members of the squad are reuniting at Home Park. You can be part of the event, which takes place on Friday, 25 October, for just £25 per person. Doors open from 7pm, with the event set to start at 7.30pm.
We will be reliving memories from that season and speaking to members of the squad about their recollections of a campaign that is still held in such fond regard by many of the Green Army.
The evening will include a hot-fork buffet, and a commemorative programme will be created especially for the event. There will also be a raffle and auction.
All proceeds made from the event will go to the Forever Green Fund – a benevolent fund for former Argyle players. Click here for more details on Forever Green, and how it is benefitting our alumni.
You can book your place by calling the Home Park Ticket Office on 01752 907700 or book online using this link.
Do not miss this opportunity to celebrate one of the finest sides in our club’s long and storied history.
