Argyle 50/50 Society

Argyle Community Trust is delighted to announce that the Argyle 50/50 Society has come on board as a key sponsor of the new Brickfields Hub.

The Society is a staple of Argyle home matchdays, running the famous 50/50 Lottery on fixtures at Home Park for almost three decades. In this time, they have raised over one million pounds for the benefit of the Club, its fans, and the community – including a recent donation of £20,000 to support Project 35, and our fight against poverty, in partnership with Ginsters.

The society’s generosity and passion for helping the community has seen them further commit their support through sponsorship of a community space within the new Brickfields Hub. The space, located next to the new sports hall, will primarily be a safe and welcoming area to support the life chances of young people in the city.

Trust Head of Business Development Dwain Morgan is delighted to have the organisation, which is in the hearts of generations of the Green Army, on board at Brickfields: “I’d like to thank the 50/50 Society for their support towards the Brickfields Hub.

“By generously sponsoring a room, they are helping us to launch new projects that will benefit local communities for free. The 50/50 Society will become the proud sponsor of one of our new multi-use rooms that will primarily help children and young people to develop employment and life skills, and gain sports qualifications.

“Thank you, Ken and the team, at the 50/50 Society.”

The 50/50 Society was originally formed in 1997, and the committee comprises of a voluntary group of die-hard members of the Green Army.

Members of the 50/50 Committee added: “We are delighted to be sponsoring a room at the new Brickfields site and to be supporting young people in the community.

“As lifelong Argyle fans and Plymouth residents, we are proud to support the people of the city we love and help build the legacy in this exciting development at the heart of Devonport.”
