Christmas Carols at Home Park
We are delighted to announce that our popular annual Christmas carol service will take place at Home Park on Monday, 12 December.
After returning to the traditional Argyle calendar of events last year, we are excited to deliver a night of community carols once again, this time in the Mayflower Grandstand. Admission is free, and doors will open at 6pm for a 7pm start.
Our club Chaplain, Arthur Goode, will lead a service including readings from a wide range of club representatives. Meanwhile, carols will be accompanied by the Cooperative Big Band from Lipson Cooperative Academy and choirs from five local schools: St. Matthews, Widey Court, Ernesettle, Laira Green and Mary Dean.
Throughout the event we will be joined by the Hands in Harmony Signing Choir, who will sign some carols, as well as a British Sign Language interpreter who will sign the readings and introductions, further increasing the accessibility of this great community event.
Long-serving club partner PL1 Events will also be returning to provide their fantastic staging and audiovisual services for the event, following many years of supporting us in hosting this spectacular community event - once again we are grateful for their support.
Pilgrim Pete and Father Christmas are also scheduled to make special appearances throughout the festivities, while refreshments, mince pies and mulled wine will be available to purchase from within Club Argyle.
Whilst everyone and all ages are welcome, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note, the supervision of children remains the responsibility of the accompanying adult.
We encourage everyone to experience the atmosphere of Home Park and enjoy this family event.
Although the carol service is free entry, we will be holding a bucket collection for Project 35 and welcome any donations towards our community social impact project.
