Argyle Women Reach Play-Off Final

Argyle are in the play-off final

Argyle Women have secured a spot in the end-of-season National League play-off.

By virtue of Bournemouth’s 2-0 defeat at Lewes on Sunday afternoon, it means that the Cherries are six points behind Argyle, in second place, with just one game to go.

Argyle, therefore, are confirmed to finish second in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division, behind champions Watford, no matter the scores on the final game of the season, next weekend.

The play-off game is scheduled to take place on Monday, 4 May, at the Pirelli Stadium, home of Burton Albion.

The play-off pits the second-placed teams in the Southern and Northern divisions; Argyle will learn the identity of their opponents on Sunday, 26 April, as Burnley who are currently top of the division, are only one point ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers, with one game remaining.

Burnley are at home to Stoke City in their final fixture, while Wolves host Halifax Town.
